Nanako Saitama (彩珠 ななこ Saitama Nanako) is a classmate of Junichi Asakura who is a young shōjo manga artist with a serialization published on a weekly shōjo manga magazine under the pen name of Ayako Tamagawa (玉川 綾子 Tamagawa Ayako).

Etymology[]
- Nanako's surname Saitama means "color" (彩) (sai) and "pearl" (珠) (tama).
- Saitama is named after the main male protagonist from One Punch Man.
